RalliTrak
- Competitor Positive Tracking/Reporting
PROCEDURE - Competitor Initiated
A competitor who retires on stage will use the Rallitrak
radio in their car and advise the nearest Rallitrak
Operator of their current situation, effectively an electronic OK Board. This
information is relayed to the MSA Safety and Medical Communications system by the Rallitrak
operator.
A competitor who requires assistance will use the Rallitrak
radio in their car and advise the nearest Rallitrak
Operator of the emergency, effectively an electronic SOS Board. The Rallitrak
Operator will determine the nature of the emergency and ascertain the number of
injured parties, the extent and nature of the injuries, exact location of the
competitor, whether the stage is blocked, the competitor number, and the number
on the front of the competitor radio. When received, this information is passed
directly to the Safety and Medical Communications Control by the on-site Rallitrak
Operator.
At this point the MSA Safety and Medical Communication system will
take control of the situation.
The Rallitrak
Operator will maintain contact with the competitors and will update them with
information gained from the Safety and Medical Communications system, as
appropriate. The Rallitrak
Operator will also advise the MSA Safety and Medical Communications system of any
further developments at the scene of the incident.
