What is a Marshal ?

Someone who is interested in Motorsport and who wants to be involved in the sport without necessarily competing.

What does a Marshal do ?

Almost anything linked with the organisation and running of motorsport events - from club meetings to a Grand Prix or International Rally.

Who can become a Marshal ?

Almost anyone - As long as you are of average health all you need is enthusiasm, clubs such as the British Rally Marshals Club (BRMC) can provide the rest.

Are Marshals paid ?

No. Marshalling is a hobby. 

All marshals are volunteers who enjoy being part of Motorsport

Do you need to be specially trained ?

Yes - training is just one of the benefits of belonging to clubs such as the BRMC

How many days do I have to commit ?

As many or as few as you wish.

You decide where and when you want to marshal, clubs such as BRMC do the rest.

Is it dangerous ?

All forms of Motosport involve some danger, but the sports safety record is very good and clubs such as the BRMC provide their own insurance scheme to cover their members whilst on duty at motorsport events
