In recent years, the Motor Sports Association has expanded its remit beyond its traditional administrative and regulatory activity, taking a lead in the development of the sport.
It is a position that sits comfortably with the role of a governing body, occupying a central postion at the heart of the sport, not only running British motor sport but also investing in its future and ensuring that it continues to grow and prosper.
Having invested substantial funding into a number of projects in recent years, the MSA's Whole Sport Plan has now established a clear framework within which all of the existing activity, as well as some new initiatives, now sit.
It follows the Sport England model of that has been widely adopted by many sports and is recognised by DCMs and other sporting bodies. |
