Just before Christmas 2000 say the vast majority of the Silk Radio Crew and their partners got together in Llanidloes for a Christmas meal, plus as it turned out in late November to also celebrate Tony's (SILK 7) early retirement for 9-5 work (Margaret apparently has other plans for him, hard luck mate) and Richard's birthday. -----------------0---------------- Filet of Pork Hunagrian style (Dry marinated in bay leaves, garlic and thyme, braised in butter, and served with a shallot and paprika and sour cream sauce) OR Filet of Beef Prince Albert (Braised with chopped carrot, celery and onion and Madeira wine) With Fondant potatoes; creamed sweetcorn with mushrooms; french beans; stuffed tomatoes with rice, mint raisins & cinnamon & onion; carrots in honey & lemon -----------------0---------------- -----------------0---------------- Brandy baskets with burnt honey icecream and a melody of fresh fruit Festive dates and prunes (poached in Mavrodaphne wine, stuffed with clotted cream and an almond and caramel praline) -----------------0----------------
